CALIFORNIA CANNABIS AUTHORITY
SUBJECT: Adoption of a resolution authorizing and directing the execution of a joint powers agreement and related actions that may be necessary to implement the resolution for the County to become a member of the California Cannabis Authority.
FISCAL IMPACT: No initial membership costs. Actual membership fee cost to the County may offset by an ordinance to collect fees from cannabis related businesses that are required to report information to the California Cannabis Authority (CCA). Cannabis related businesses would be required to report cannabis business activities and transactions to the CCA as a condition of operating a cannabis business in the County.
ACTION REQUESTED: 1) Adopt the resolution; and/or 2) provide direction to staff.
