Title: ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING SYSTEMS SUBJECT: The proposed ordinance would add chapter 12.10 (Electric Vehicle Charging Systems) to the Lassen County Code to create an expedited permitting process for electric vehicle charging stations as required by Government Code Section 65850.7 (AB 1236). FISCAL IMPACT: Minor impact due to staff training and implementation; otherwise no General Fund impact. ACTION REQUESTED: 1) Adopt Ordinance; and 2) direct the Environmental Review Officer to file a Notice of Exemption (NOE) with the Lassen County Clerk; and 3) direct the Director of the Planning and Building Services Department to adopt a checklist to establish requirements for electric vehicle charging stations that conforms to the recommendations contained in the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research checklist and to adopt amendments as required to be consistent with the most current version of the Office of Planning and Research checklist.
