This process includes an environmental review, hazardous waste survey, appraisal, and a fair market value payment to the private landowner. If DNA is approved, the BLM would plan to complete the transaction and acquire the land, by spring 2024. Once acquired these lands would be made part of the public domain and open for public use and enjoyment. The subject parcels are located in Herlong, CA.
